Rovers and Rangers is the extension of services of Scouts and Guides for college students. It is a voluntary, non-political, educational movement for young people, open to all with-out distinction of origin, race or creed, in accordance with the purpose, principles and method conceived by the founder Lord Barden Powell in 1907.
The purpose of the movement is to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential as individuals, responsible citizens and members of the local, national and international communities. It is based on the principle of Duty to God, Duty to Others and Duty to Self.
During the year one Rovers Unit and four Rangers Units have been functioning. Students get the opportunity to attend guest lectures by eminent persons, undergo leadership training, opportunity to prepare for various scouts and guides examinations, participate in state level and national level camps and other activities.
