Sri Dhavala College is situated in Moodbidri of Mangalore District in Karnataka. The students of this college hail from rural and backward areas. Majority of the students actively participate in sports and games.
Physical Education is an organized unit which includes a wide variety of professional functions. The expansion of Physical Education has sprung from the concept that Physical Education activity offers experiences that are not otherwise obtainable. Physical activities offer people with distinct behavioral, developmental and educational through intensive training of the today. The information comes into the mind which in turn transmits learned information to the body for direct improvements in its process. This twofold perspective has been a basic endowment of the profession of Physical Education.
Physical Education aims to mould the personality of youth and transform them into healthy, physically fit and socially active citizens. According to Dr. Reuben. B., Forost ‘Physical Education is that integral part of total education which contributes to the development of the individual through the natural medicine of physical activity’.
Our college is giving ample opportunities to the students in sports & games . We have Two play ground separate for sports & games. Multi Gem & Weight Lifting materials. Two table tennis board, carom board and chess.

12 students are participated in District Level Nat Ball Tournament held at Managala Kridangana , Mangalore on 10.09.2016. Team secured Second Place
13 students are participated in Inter Collegiate Yagasana (Men& Women) competition held at Smt. Rukmini Shedthi Memorial National Govt. First Grade college, Barkur on 26th & 27th September 2016 . Men team secured the Third Place & Kum. Supritha of II B.Com (B) selected for Mangalore University team and coaching camp.
11 students are participated Inter Collegiate Athletic (Men) championship held at Ajjarakadu Satidium Udupi conducted by Govt. First Grade College Tenkanidyoor on 6th , 7th & 8th October 2016. Sri. Nithin Salian and Sri. Sampath secured the Fifth & Sixth Place in 110 hurdles with certificate and Shield.
Sahana Acharya I BBA Participated in National Level Karate Competation held at Hydarabad on 4th ,5th & 6th November 2016. Secured First Place with Gold Medal and certificate

13 students are participated District level Weight Level Competation held at Dan Basco Hall Mangalore conducted by K District Weight Lifters Association ® Mangaluru on 13 & 14 December 2016.Mr. Mr. Sujith secured Silver Medal And Shrajan S Karkera secured Fourth Place. And womens team secured the Third Place in Team Championship.
7 students are participated Mangalore University Inter Collegiate (Men & Women ) Weight Lifting Competation held at First Grade College, Vittla on 7th & 8th January 2017. Kum. Tulasi & Kum. Rasika secured Bronze Medal , Kum. Rakshitha & Kiran secured Fourth Place.
Annual Sports meet of our college held at Betkeri Ground Moodbidri on 18.01.2017. Dr. M Mohan Alva, Chairman Alva’s Education Foundation (R) Moodbidri Inaugurated the sports meet. In March past competation III B.Com (B) & II B.Com (B) First & Second Place.Mr. Naveen III BA & Kum. Nandini K I B.Com (B) are the champions of the meet.

28 students participated in Mangalore University Inter Collegiate Net Ball Men and Women tornament held at Sri Dhavala College, Moodbidri on 3rd February 2017. Men student secured the second place women team secured the 4th Place in team championship and Sri. Praful Priston D’Souza secured the Best All Rounder Reward. Mr, Praful Priston D’Souza and Sheik Adnan Ahammed selected for Mangalore University Team and they participated ALL INDIA INTER UNIVERSITY NET BALL Tournament held at S.R.T. M University Maharastra.
