STAFF COUNCIL

1. INTRODUCTION

The Staff Association is an association of the members of the staff including teaching and non-teaching. A person becomes the member of the staff association by the virtue of being the employee of Sri Dhavala College.

2. AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

The staff association is a democratic body where the academic matters of the college are debated and discussed at length and decisions taken. The main objectives of the staff association are the following.

  1. To plan the academic activities of the college and monitor its execution.
  2. To plan the co-curricular and extra-curricular activities of the college according to the need of the hour.
  3. Evaluation of the academic, co-curricular and extra –curricular activities of the college from time to time.
  4. Constituting the various committees submitted to the association and effecting modification on the basis of the suggestion given by the members of the association.
  5. Preparation of the academic calendar, college examination schedule and preparing the rules and regulations related to maintenance of the discipline in the campus.
  6. The Staff Association is also function as Grievance Redressal Cell for its  members.
3. OFFICE BEARERS OF THE ASSOCIATION
The Association consists of following office bearers

  1. President
  2. Secretary
  3. Joint Secretary
4. FUNCTIONS OF THE PRESIDENT
  1. Presiding over the meetings of the staff Association and conduct the proceedings of the meetings.
  2. Fixing the agenda for the meeting.
  3. Giving decision after the discussion and reserving the decision on controversial
  4. Summoning emergency meeting of the association to discuss any matters of urgent importance.
  5. Acting as a link between staff and management.
5. FUNCTIONS OF THE SECRETARY
  1. Fixing the date of the meeting in consultation with the principal.
  2. To serve the notice of the meeting to the members at least 24 hours before the meeting. But it is not applicable to the case of the emergency meeting.
  3. Recording the minutes of the meeting and reading minutes of the previous meeting and obtain the signature of the members to the minute’s book.
  4. Acting as a link between president of the association and members
